Prouche and his Method

Who is PROUCHE ?

Inspired by his love of children and passion for drawing, Prouche published his first comic book in 1983: Électrozz et Bozz au Québec.

This was followed by two other titles in the same series.

Specializing in historical comic books, Prouche wrote and illustrated Alphonse Desjardins: The Feat of a Founder (the English translation of La Grande Aventure d’Alphonse Desjardins). Over 60 000 copies of this book were sold in French, English and Spanish. He then drew a 64-page comic book called La Ville de Pierre Boucher to commemorate the 325th anniversary of Boucherville.

But writing and drawing are solitary activities, and Prouche likes to be around people. So he found a way to combine his interests: by giving children’s workshops on learning how to draw!

For years, schools, libraries, festivals, book fairs and other events have invited Prouche to give his drawing workshops, much to the delight of the young and young-at-heart.

Prouche has taught his Method to over a million children in schools or at other venues in some 600 cities and towns.

Invite Prouche to your school for a workshop! You will be glad you did!
